Privacy Policy

This policy explains information that may be processed when you use Travel Weather Fairy and how third-party services are used.

1. Information we process

Travel Weather Fairy does not currently offer user accounts. Web servers and analytics tools may process browser/device information, access time, approximate region, pages visited and session-related information. If you email us, your email address and message are processed only to respond to your inquiry.

2. Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-JFMY6W8SWP) to understand site usage and improve the service. GA4 may use first-party cookies such as _ga and may process usage statistics, approximate location, browser and device information according to Google’s policies.

3. Weather and exchange-rate services

Historical climate and recent-year calendar data are stored as static site files. Current weather and the 7-day forecast are requested from MET Norway Locationforecast through a Cloudflare Worker proxy and cached on our server, so the visitor’s browser does not contact MET Norway directly. Exchange-rate features may contact Frankfurter or another disclosed provider; a direct browser request can transmit technical information such as the visitor’s IP address and browser details to that provider.

4. Advertising

If Google AdSense or another advertising service is enabled, Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or other identifiers to deliver and measure ads. Where required, consent choices will be provided through a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP). Users can manage personalized-ad choices through Google Ads Settings.

5. Contact information

Information sent by email is used only to review and answer the inquiry and is retained only as long as reasonably necessary, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

6. Cookie controls and changes

You can restrict or delete cookies through your browser settings. If this policy changes, the effective date on this page will be updated.
